My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mrs. LaVerne Gordon. I have fond memories of her from the time she lived in Topeka. She possessed the class, integrity, strength and intellect which are so characteristic of the Brice family. LaVerne will be missed. May she rest in peace. I pray God provide comfort you all today and in the days to come.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Praying for God to comfort you, faith to uphold you, and loving memories to help you smile again. May you find strength in the love of family and in the warm embrace of friends.

It was a great pleasure having met Mrs. LaVerne…

    PSalm 23 ~ (A Psalm of David.)
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Remember that joy is not dependent on your circumstances. It is dependent upon the joy of Christ Jesus living in you even through your most difficult days.
“Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy in His dwelling place.”
    IChronicles 16:27
