In Memorial

Lydia, 84, found peace after a lengthy illness, on May 11, 2013, in Phoenix, AZ. Born 10/28/1928 in Kiev, Ukraine, her journey in life began with the sadness of war, separation from family, and poverty. Her faith, will, and determination guided her from Austria, to London, as an immigrant to New York City, working as a seamstress in the garment industry, and finally to her beloved Arizona. She has been an inspiration to all whose lives she touched and will be sadly missed. She is survived by her chosen family of close friends, Tamara Burda of Sun City, Millie Hollister, Michael, Steven, and Thomas Ziesk of Mesa, Michael Soucier and Jeff Pinales of Phoenix, Brenda Vidal of Phoenix, Matthew Cordell and Alberto Cedillo of Phoenix, Katja and Brent Aleksich of Laveen, also Susan, Josephine, Oscar, and Selena for their generous care and kindness. Viewing to be held at Paradise Sunset Chapel, 3934 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, Monday, May 20th from 6-8 pm. Memorial Service will be held in the same location on Tuesday, May 21st, at 10 am.
