89 passed away at home in the loving arms of his family in Scottsdale, AZon May 06, 2013. He was born August 24, 1923 to Robert Leonard and Mary Isabell (Russell) Crick in Shelbyville, Tennessee. In 1937 He moved to Phoenix, AZ, along with his twin brother Ollie and parents due to the health of his Father. At the advent of WWII, he and his twin brother joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served in the Pacific Theater. On January 22, 1944 he was married to Myrtle Catherine Magnuson in San Diego, CA. After the war they moved to Phoenix, AZwhere he worked for Arizona Refinery and they raised two sons and two daughters. In 1961, they moved to Flagstaff, AZwhen he was promoted to Plant Manager for Arizona Refinery in Flagstaff. He was responsible for providing paving material for most of the roads and highways in Northern Arizonaduring that time period. His wife Catherine passed away September 27, 1966. On November 18, 1967 he married Ann Bradley and gained three more daughters and a son. He retired from Arizona Refinery in 1980 and soon afterward moved with Ann to the VerdeValleywhere his son Charley built their retirement home. Oscar and Ann served as volunteers for CampVerdeSeniorCenterand traveled with the Good Sam Group.  In 2010 they moved to Scottsdale, AZfor health and family care reasons. Oscar loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, aviation, camping out with family and family get togethers. He loved his family and was all inclusive with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his first wife Catherine, his son Dale Eugene and his twin bother Ollie. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Ann Crick, Sons Charley Crick (Debbie) of Cornville, AZ and Jim Bradley (Roberta), Scottsdale, AZ and daughters Mary Hogsett (Al), Ginny Britt- Gianelli (Paul) both of flagstaff, Beverly Alexander (Peter), Pamela Craner (Greg) and Janet Hammond (Craig) all of Scottsdale, AZ. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on May 11 at 4 PM at Paradise Sunset Chapel Funeral Home, 3934 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ. Condolences to family members can be sent to www.paradisesunsetchapel.com . In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the diabetes Foundation.
